As for garden “beasties”, for the most part my attitude is “live and let live”. I only take action when the numbers are high enough to do some damage.
Pea/bean beetles, for example, are pretty rampant in my garden, and they disfigure the snap peas – especially late in the season. I try to squash them whenever I see them. Same for cucumber beetles, though they have been less of a problem the last couple of years.

These are pretty plants.
I see some critter gnawed on a few leaves. What is your attitude toward garden beasties?
(I am an urban veggies-in-pots gardener, and hope to plant more than flowers in the actual ground next year.)
